Located in the northern part of the state of Baja California, the Wine Route enjoys a Mediterranean climate ideal for growing grapes. For this reason, we offer the following recommendations:
Best time to visit:
From May to September, when the vines are in full bloom. However, the region can be enjoyed year-round, each season offering its own charm.
Climate:
Because the area is surrounded by mountains, summers are very hot and winters can be quite cold. This contrast also occurs daily: cool mornings and evenings due to the ocean’s humidity, and warm to hot afternoons as the mountains retain heat within the valleys.
What to wear:
Comfortable, closed-toe shoes (agricultural areas have dirt paths and stones)
Light clothing in white or soft colors (cotton or linen recommended)
A sweater, jacket, or pashmina for cool mornings and nights
