Gray Whale Tour in Guerrero Negro

Gray Whale Tour in Guerrero Negro – 3 Days

Live one of the most extraordinary experiences on the planet by encountering the gray whale in its natural habitat in Baja California.

Ideal for those seeking ecotourism and a direct connection with nature, this tour allows you to witness one of the ocean’s most majestic giants up close.

The El Vizcaíno Whale Sanctuary is considered the most important place in the world for the protection of the gray whale (Eschrichtius robustus). During winter, this species gathers along the western coast and in the coastal lagoons of Baja California Sur—especially in the El Vizcaíno Biosphere Reserve, where they mate and nurse their calves.

The gray whale was heavily hunted in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, bringing it to the brink of extinction. Thanks to conservation efforts, it is now possible to admire them in their natural environment.

One of the reasons this species is so popular is its closeness to the coast during migration, allowing thousands of visitors to see them each year. The gray whale undertakes an incredible journey, migrating from the cold waters of the Arctic Ocean to the warm lagoons of Baja California to reproduce and give birth to the next generation.
