Spot gray whales and sail through Ensenada Bay and Todos Santos Island.
During winter and spring, Baja California welcomes the gray whale, which migrates toward Baja California Sur to mate and give birth to its calves. Watching these giants of the sea is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you simply can’t miss. You’ll love it!
For thousands of years, the gray whale has been a faithful winter visitor to the peninsula, seeking shelter in its warm waters. Its presence fills the people of Baja California with pride, as it is internationally recognized as a Mexican whale.
The whale-watching season runs from December to April each year.
We recommend bringing your camera, a light jacket or sweater, comfortable clothing and shoes, bottled water, a hat, sunglasses, and biodegradable sunscreen.
Bring extra cash for meals and souvenirs, as some places do not accept credit cards. Consider bringing an umbrella during the rainy season (winter, November to March).
